Jerusalem Day 6 (Saturday, 7th)

Today started a little later than usual as we didn't have to be on the road until 9.30am but sadly it didn't start that way for me.

I was trying to come to grips with, what I thought was, the problem that the flights for the majority of the Tasmanians here at Ecce Homo meant that we wouldn't be here for the final activities of the program.  I found out this morning that it had already been communicated to the Centre that staying that one extra day changed the fare structure dramatically and that we would all have to leave early. Knowing that this morning didn't help me sleep last night.

During my 'sleep' I remembered that the battery on my camera needed to be recharged so I got out of bed and looked for the camera in my pants, then my bag, then ... No matter where I looked I couldn't find it so I got dressed and headed down to the coffee room to see if I had left it there and couldn't find it.

I came down for breakfast and checked in Reception and it was there - it had been handed in this morning after being found near the water fountain last night.  Much happier now.

Back to today. We headed off to the Jaffa Gate and there we entered in to the Tower of David Museum. After almost two hours of moving through the history of the place I came away absolutely blown away with the design and presentation of the whole experience.

This afternoon was free so I took the opportunity to have a snooze and caught up on some sleep so that was good.

Mass this evening was in the Ecce Home Basilica with Frank Hanley and then we had the evening meal and afterwards there was some singing with Tony Brennan leading the way.

Now bed.
