We had three sessions with Pino di Luccio on Matthew's Gospel looking at the Sermon on the Mount and he presented us with an interesting thought - he used the Lord's Prayer and the Shemah to show how the whole of the Sermon (chaps 5-7) can all be shown to have links back to and be based on the Shemah. An interesting couple of sessions.
After lunch I headed off to see if I could get the phot that I had been looking for last week and learnt that it would be ready tomorrow but since we are heading for Galilee in the morning I will collect it next Monday.
This afternoon we had two more session with Dr Marcie Lenk - this time on A Jewish Response to the Gospel of Matthew. Again, Marcie was open and honest about her Jewishness but also of her deep interest in the Christian Scriptures and provided some interesting thoughts and reflections and opened up to some lively discussions.
I don't think that I have mentioned this before but we have had some seriously interesting questions, comments and responses with all our presenters and guides as we have journeyed into the stories of the Gospels, Jewish Traditions and the places we have visited - it has been really interesting.
Tonight I suspect that it will be an early night as we have a 5.30am breakfast and 6.15am departure for Lion's Gate to be at Nazareth and our journey into Galilee.
